After more than sufficient funds both in cash and in kind was raised for the building of the terbanacle and the Ark of the covenant including the priests apparel, Moses gave a command for the people should be restrained from bringing more.
"For the stuff was they had was sufficient for all the work to make it and too much" Exodus 16:7.
Funny enough people even believers on "AWOL" who we would rather call the devil advocates capitalize on these very scriptural incident to attack the body of Christ even the church of God Himself on why God's people should continue bringing their substance to honour Him in His House.
That is to say when will they be told one day to stop bringing their substance to God's house like Moses commanded the Isrealites?
And because because we are Christ Advocates and not devil advocates we would rather make a case for Christ on why in current day dispensation will keep and must keep bringing their substance to the house of God.
Yes, firstly on reasons why Moses stop the people from bringing and secondly why we won't stop the people from bringing.
First on why Moses stopped the people from bringing.
Reasons are, the Ark and the mobile Terbanacle in the wilderness are one time projects with a budgetory benchmark. A once and for all project. And the cost estimates has been met up.
Anything after the costs estimates has been met up is a wastage and God detest wastage. So specifically for these projects, the budget estimates has been met up. Everyone even a ten year old knows that to keep bringing loads of sand, tonnes of cement and buckets of paint to a project site that has been completed and commissioned is foolhardiness!
But these Ark and mobile tabernacle projects were just a phase of God's journey and plan with His people. >
