You may be weak in one area but you can't be weak in every area. Yes, there will always be an area of strength God has endowed you with. All you need to do is search inwardly. Once you discover this area of strength, it is this very area of strength that God will enable you to overcome that area of weakness.
"Out of weakness were made strong Hebrews 11:34b" A man of God Pastor Wole Owolabi of New Covenant Church said "God will not ask you what He has not given you". And I add mine - but when you trade with what He has given you, He gives you what you don't have before to trade more and profit with.
Remember how He gave the man with five talents what he don't have before - the one talent from the unprofitable servant was added to the five he gained with the five that he was given, making eleven talents.
Quite unusual of me, I will share a personal testimony of trading with what you have. When I was in secondary school I used to idolise students who are versatile in mathematics. To me they are magicians who came from Mars. Why? because though I am beyond average academically intellectually, yet right from primary one I began to have issues with Arithmetic. And to worsen matters, mathematics when I got to secondary school! This same way I idolise mathematics students, I idolise prayer warriors after I got saved into God's kingdom. When I hear of how they pray four hours without end, I look at them in awe. Why? Your guess is good as mine. I was weak in that area. But years later when I began to see these same prayer warriors fall prey to all manner of adversities even untimely call to glory. While in my own "weak" state I have witnessed a summary execution of an elderly persecutor and a boss in my office in Ogbomoso in 1990, even when I was still a tender toddler believer! Then with time and after some years, I wised up and looked inward to what God has endowed me - my areas of strength to build my spiritual life.
1). I was practically born into music - to be precise drums and songs. Not to bother you with details of how it all went I carried over this into my new life in Christ.
I can sing very well and praise God with songs.2).I was baptised in The Holy Ghost with manifestations of diverse gifts.
3). A deep understanding and insight into God's word and knowledge, courtesy of a deep and analytical mind, to meditate deeply. Which has really been helping my walk with God and walk in The Spirit. Or was He not The One that invited us in Isaiah 1:18 to "come now let us reason together..." I reason together with Him 24/7 more than I pray. Coupled with a capacity to articulate them out verbally or in letters when it comes to regurgitate what I have digested. For every issue of a life I got a word.
Even when I want to travel or eat. Yet I still envy prayer warriors for years if not decades. Until I discovered that am more of a praise conqueror than a prayer warrior. With these I have surmounted great mountains many a typical believer wíll give up on.
How then did I overcome prayerlessness? I go before Him with verses of those songs even if I don't sing them out to start praising Him.
Calling Him Who He is. Yes, "call Him by His Name" as one of those song lyric says. Sometimes I sing them out all the same. Armed with a deep insight of our Lord's prayer I formulate my daily prayer points. Pray them to Him and load them with scriptures, that one of which is not a problem to me anyway. Interlacing the session with mysteries of the language of The Spirit which I am filled with. And before I know it, an hour is over, crossing into another hour. You can overcome your weaknesses with your strengths! For the sake of emphasis, when the prayer warriors I hitherto envied and idolised began to fall preys, of what one wíll call an average believer escapes, because many of them did not "add to your faith knowledge" as God exhorted through Peter in one of his epistle, I discovered that God has not made a mistake by FIRST giving me what everyone need in life to live - understanding through His Word.
Even a depth in the mysteries of His knowledge and His ways in all wisdom and spiritual understanding!Something even Paul the Apostle himself have to stand in the gap for the Ephesians Church for. Spirit of wisdom and revelation Ephesians 1 Yet I was venerating and idolising prayer warriors!
Check out your life. Find out what God has given you and stop looking unto the things of others. Then use and trade and profit with them. Then out weakness God will make you strong.
